Physiotherapy for older adults at home in Wanstead
Care adapted to an older person’s strength, mobility, routine and support needs.
Why choose care at home?
A familiar setting can make it easier to discuss what has changed and focus on useful goals. The visit is built around the person receiving care, whether they want to move more comfortably, rebuild strength after illness or manage everyday tasks with support.
What we can work on together
- Understand the person’s priorities and daily movement needs.
- Work on suitable strength, balance and functional activity.
- Explain a manageable plan to the person and, with their agreement, family or carers.
Your first appointment
We discuss health history, recent changes and everyday support, then assess appropriate activities. The pace and exercises are adapted to the person’s abilities and preferences. Consent, communication and the person’s own goals remain central to care.
More about physiotherapy for older adultsPlanning your visit in Wanstead
For a home appointment in Wanstead, give the correct visitor entrance and mention any access restrictions. If outdoor activity is a goal, tell us about the walking aid and support you currently use.
We come to your home, so there is no need to travel to a clinic. Your exact address is checked during booking before suitable times are shown.
Before we arrive
- Have usual mobility aids and relevant discharge or care advice ready.
- Tell us about communication needs and who will open the door.
- Agree whether a familiar relative or carer should attend with the person’s permission.
Self-pay, insurance or a cash plan?
Self-pay visits are £160 for 60 minutes. You receive a paid itemised invoice. If you use a health cash plan, check its home-visit cover, claim limits and requirements before booking.
Private medical insurance needs authorisation for home treatment with your clinician. Clinic recognition alone does not establish home-visit cover; your policy may include an excess or shortfall.

Can I arrange a visit for a parent or relative?
Yes. Choose “Someone else” when booking and provide the requested patient and contact details. Make sure the person agrees to the visit; contact us if consent or communication arrangements need discussion.
Is this the same as a care-home partnership?
No. This is an individual physiotherapy visit. Care-home managers looking for a wider service can discuss a separate care-home partnership with us.
