Home-based rehabilitation.

Physiotherapy for children and adults referred by case managers, solicitors and rehabilitation providers.

For children and adults recovering from an injury or managing movement difficulties, home physiotherapy brings assessment and rehabilitation into their everyday surroundings. Care starts with the person’s needs and the activities they want to get back to.

When home physiotherapy may help

  • Muscle and joint problems following an injury.
  • Recovery after orthopaedic surgery, alongside existing surgical guidance.
  • Rehabilitation when a journey to the clinic is difficult.
  • Complex and specialist rehabilitation referrals, subject to clinical suitability and appropriate clinician availability.

Understand the starting point

Assessment considers movement, everyday activities and the client’s priorities, rather than the referral label alone.

Make the plan practical

Treatment where appropriate, exercises and advice are adapted to the home environment and the agreed rehabilitation goals.

  • The visit area, access arrangements and any support needed at home.
  • The reason for referral, relevant clinical guidance and intended goals.
  • Who is commissioning and funding care, including any authorised sessions.
  • Any requested updates or reports, and the appropriate consent for care and information sharing, including parent or carer involvement for children.

Start with the referral request. We’ll agree how any relevant patient documents can be shared.

Treatment fees, authorised sessions and any reporting fees are agreed privately before care begins. We agree the purpose and recipients of any rehabilitation updates, with appropriate permission from the client. A referral does not itself confirm clinical acceptance or an appointment.

Our service scope

This is physiotherapy rehabilitation, not an independent expert-witness or court-report service. We review the proposed care before accepting a referral and explain if another service would be more appropriate.

Can you provide rehabilitation updates?

Discuss the updates you need when referring. Their scope, recipients, fees and information-sharing arrangements must be agreed before treatment starts.

Can I refer someone before arranging funding?

You can call to discuss the proposed care. Funding, clinical suitability and the visit arrangements still need to be agreed before an appointment is confirmed.
