Practical support for everyday movement.
Physiotherapy for businesses can support employees with muscle, joint and movement problems. We discuss how symptoms affect everyday life and work, then consider appropriate assessment and treatment at home or in the workplace.
When home physiotherapy may help
- Muscle or joint pain affecting usual activities.
- Recovery after injury or orthopaedic surgery where home care is suitable.
- Work-related symptoms and difficulties with everyday workplace tasks.
Care built around the person.
Understand the activities that matter
The assessment explores movement and the employee’s own goals, including work tasks, workstation setup and ergonomic concerns within the agreed physiotherapy scope.
Agree a manageable plan
Treatment where appropriate, exercises and practical advice are discussed with the employee, with next steps made clear.
What to discuss when referring.
- The employee’s agreement to the referral and any proposed information sharing.
- The reason for referral and relevant activities or movement goals.
- The home or workplace visit address, access and any support needed.
- The funding contact, any authorised sessions and requested updates.
Start with the referral request. We’ll agree how any relevant patient documents can be shared.
Clear arrangements, before care starts.
We agree the fees, funding arrangements and any requested reporting before care begins. Updates are not shared with an employer automatically: their purpose, recipients and the employee’s consent are discussed first. An enquiry is not an accepted referral or a confirmed appointment.
Our service scope
This is employer-funded musculoskeletal physiotherapy, not occupational health medicine or health surveillance. We review the proposed care before accepting it and explain if a different assessment or service is needed.
Before you refer.
Does employer funding include access to clinical information?
Not automatically. Discuss the information you need before care begins; any agreed sharing must respect the employee’s consent and the purpose of the referral.
Can physiotherapy guarantee a return-to-work date?
No. Rehabilitation is based on the individual’s assessment, circumstances and goals. We do not promise a particular outcome or a fixed recovery date.
